Data we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details and message content when you email, call, or message us.
  • Your work email, school, enquiry details, or other information you choose to include when requesting a proposal.
  • Information submitted through an external application or enquiry form. The form will show any additional fields and notices that apply before submission.

Technical information

Our hosting and security infrastructure may create server logs when a page or file is requested. These logs can include the IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, referrer, browser or device information, and security-related events. We use these records to deliver and protect the website, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse.

Why we use personal data

  • To respond to enquiries and take steps requested before entering a contract.
  • To provide requested services and manage our relationship with students, parents, schools, and partners.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website where this is necessary for our legitimate interests and does not override your rights.
  • To comply with legal, accounting, safeguarding, or regulatory obligations.
  • For another purpose when we have asked for and received your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and analytics

This website currently does not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, advertising pixels, or behaviour-recording tools. We do not set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, so the website does not display an analytics consent banner.

A linked or embedded third-party service may use its own storage or cookies when you choose to open it. Those services are described below. If we add non-essential tracking in the future, we will update this notice and request consent before loading it where required.

External services

Google Fonts

Pages request font styles and files from Google Fonts. According to Google, this service does not set cookies, but the request includes information needed to deliver the files, such as the visitor's IP address, requested URL, user-agent, and referrer. See Google Fonts privacy information.

Forms, video, messaging, and social links

Some enquiry links open Typeform. Video features may connect to Vimeo and Embedly after you choose to play them. WhatsApp, email, telephone, and social-media links connect you to the selected provider or application only when you use the link. Those providers process data under their own notices and may operate outside the European Economic Area.

Where a provider processes personal data for us, we use appropriate contractual and transfer safeguards as required. Please review the notice shown by the external service before submitting information there.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described above, including responding to an enquiry, providing a service, maintaining security, meeting legal or accounting duties, and resolving disputes. Retention therefore depends on the type of record and the relationship involved. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer required, unless the law requires a longer period.

Children's privacy

Our educational services are designed for young people, but website enquiries, applications, purchases, and contractual decisions should be made by a parent, legal guardian, school, or other authorised adult unless a specific flow clearly states otherwise. If you believe a child has submitted personal data without appropriate authorisation, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to your personal data, to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to processing, or provide eligible data in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

To exercise a right, email hello@leaguesofcode.com. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority.
